The resident salary is funded by PHR Hospital
(please see table below). Additionally, the residents are provided
the 13-volume Basic Clinical Science Course (BCSC) of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) upon entry into residency and are
encouraged to reference it throughout their training. Residents
are encouraged to participate in research and those who first-author
posters/papers at major meetings will have meeting dues reimbursed.
A stipend is provided for equipment considered essential to the
practice of ophthalmology. Meal stipends are also provided at the
VAH and PHR Hospital Cafeterias. |
